Refund & Cancellation Policy

Clear, transparent terms for refunds and cancellations across all Law Tarazoo Will-drafting and estate-planning services.

1. Summary

You may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of payment, provided we have not yet delivered a draft document or completed a consultation. After that point, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis as set out below.

The simple rule: If we haven't started the work, you get every rupee back. If we have, we deduct only the value of the work actually performed.

2. Eligibility for full refund

You are entitled to a 100% refund (less applicable payment-gateway transaction fees, which are non-refundable) if all of the following are true:

  • Your refund request is received in writing at experts@lawtarazoo.com within 7 calendar days of your payment.
  • No draft Will or other deliverable has been emailed or otherwise delivered to you.
  • No consultation call with an advocate has taken place.
  • The questionnaire (if applicable to your tier) has not been submitted for generation.

3. Partial refunds (after work has commenced)

If work has commenced when you request a refund, we will issue a partial refund calculated as follows:

  • Online Will (₹5,000): Once a draft Will has been auto-generated, the service is treated as delivered. No refund is offered, but you may continue using your account for the full 30-day window and request re-generations.
  • Personalised Will (₹25,000): If a consultation has taken place but no draft has been delivered, a refund of ₹15,000 is offered (₹10,000 retained for advocate time). Once the first draft is delivered, no refund is offered, but two complimentary revisions remain available.
  • NRI Will (₹15,000): Same partial-refund structure as Personalised Will, with ₹6,000 retained for advocate time after consultation.
  • Will Revision Plan (₹2,500): Once the existing Will has been reviewed, no refund is offered.
  • Will Execution Support (₹3,500): Refundable in full up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment; non-refundable thereafter.

4. Cancellations

You may cancel any service at any time by writing to experts@lawtarazoo.com. Cancellations within the 7-day window with no work commenced will be treated as refund requests under Section 2. Cancellations after work has commenced will be treated under Section 3.

5. Failed payments

If a payment fails or is reversed by your bank or payment provider, no service will be activated and no refund is needed — you have not been charged. If you see a debit on your statement but no order confirmation from us, please email experts@lawtarazoo.com with your bank statement extract; we will reconcile within 2 working days.

6. How to request a refund

Email experts@lawtarazoo.com with:

  1. Your order ID or the email address used for payment.
  2. Payment date and amount.
  3. Reason for the refund request (one line is fine).

We will acknowledge within 2 working days and process eligible refunds within 7–10 working days. Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the transaction.

7. Disputes

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, please write to us first — most disputes are resolved by clarifying what work was actually performed and what was billed. Unresolved disputes are governed by the dispute resolution clause in our Terms of Use. The courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction.
